What’s there to do on your spring break Jamaica trip?Tuesday Mar 16, 2010
Besides competing on the beach by sun bathing and seeing who sips their pina colada the fastest, I found out that there are a ton of fun things to do in Jamaica. As with any Caribbean Island, you can go scuba diving. Where there’s scuba diving, of course, there’s snorkeling. When I say snorkeling, I’m not talking about the ‘Eric Mass’ kind of snorkeling… The last time I went snorkeling I was in the Bahamas. I loved it so much there, I had to do it in Jamaica.
We also had the option of waterfall tours! I’m not talking the kind of waterfalls you see at the zoo, either. I’m talking huge waterfalls that you would see in movies. They were awesome. They even tell you some of the natural processes that cause the waterfalls. This is information I was happy to use later that night when we went out. But the tours don’t stop there. We had the option to take a catamaran tour, but we didn’t. There were day tour cruises and sunset cruises. But, by the time we were back from the waterfall tour, we didn’t have the strength.
If you want to rough it a bit and get sweaty, there are canopy tours as well. For those who don’t know what canopy tours are. It’s when you climb up into the canopy of a tree and zip line from one tree top to another. It’s almost like you’re flying. You get to see so many birds and animals. It is definitely worth it to try at least once in your life.
Another excursion we had the chance to try out were horseback rides along the beach. The horses would get into the water chest deep and it was an awesome experience as well. I definitely recommend visiting Jamaica at some point in your life.

Sail along the west coast of St. Lucia, visiting the Diamond Botanical Gardens, exploring the region’s waterfalls, experiencing the sulphur springs volcano, and then relaxing, swimming and snorkeling in the warm tropical water.
