Spring Break Bahamas Here I ComeTuesday Nov 24, 2009
Spring Break Bahamas; not usually top of your mind when March rolls around. Spring break in the Bahamas is not as expensive as you may think. Rightfully so. You can’t exactly road trip it to get to the Bahamas. You would even be hard pressed to find someone that could name the capital anymore. It’s Nassau, BTW. But, I am here to change that. Everything you want to do on Spring Break, you can do in the Bahamas with the added luxury of saying, “Hey, I went to the Bahamas.”
I was fortunate enough to go to the Bahamas for Spring Break and loved it. You can wonder through Nassau by foot or do what I did and rent a moped for the day. It’s cheap and a great way to see the island and visit all the beaches. My friends and I rode all the way around the island stopping at all the old forts built to guard the harbors and bays from enemies and pirates. Which reminds me, don’t forget to visit the pirate museum in Nassau. Nassau was a hotbed of pirate activity not many centuries ago. Not many people can say they did Spring Break Nassau with pirates.
I’m sure you’ve heard of Atlantis, but this is the real one. Atlantis is a beautiful resort with tons of things to do: magnificent pools, intricate water parks, dynamic dining. But if that’s not your bag, there are many hotels to choose from offering tons of deals and packages with great day excursion options and nightlife. Want to go parasailing in the morning and then enjoy the spa in the afternoon; do it.
Planning your Spring Break Bahamas trip now is the thing to do. Fly in or take a boat. I took a boat from Miami last spring break. Best. Week. Ever.
