Spring Break in Mexico is all about fun in the sun, but there is always a slight chance that it can rain while you are on vacation. If it does rain, here are the top 5 things you can do to make the most of your time.

1. Check out historical sites throughout Mexico. Some of the most amazing Mayan ruins are located in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, not too far from Cancun.

2. Go swimming with dolphins. Rain isn't going to put a damper on this fun activity and it may even make it more fun (dolphins love the rain). Grab a friend and have the time of your life.

3. Head into downtown and go shopping. Downtown is generally just a short walk, taxi or bus ride away and offers a lot of different shopping options, which will keep you busy until the rain stops. Don't forget to bring along your rain umbrella, if you decide to make the walk into downtown (you wouldn't want to get sick).

4. Head to a bar and watch some March madness games. Spring break is the time when March madness is underway and there are always great games on television. There is no better time to bond with friends than when you are rooting for your favorite sports teams.

5. Head out to the hot tub. It's usually a lot more fun to be in the hot tub when it is raining, as the rain cools you down and then the hot tub heats you up. It's a great balance.
