Chillin' at the Holiday InnThursday Mar 04, 2010
I donít feel like thinking much today so Iím going to blog about our hotel. Itís really nice. At first, when we booked our spring break Panama City Beach trip, I assumed that the hotel looked its best on the outside and not the inside, i.e. the rooms. I was pleasantly surprised.
We are staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree. There are a lot of spring breakers here as well. Weíre on the 12th floor with an ocean view. Looking out over the Gulf is awesome. We also have a great view of the beach below. They donít have a pool though, but they DO have a lagoon. It looks awesome at night, too, when itís all lit up. There are even waterfalls and plants like an island.
The rooms arenít that bad either. I wasnít expecting the floors to be tiled. Come to find out itís for the sand, itís easier to clean sand off of tile than it is carpet. Itís still nice nonetheless. Our room has a small kitchen unit as well so we can buy food and eat in the room. Itís a good way to save money for going out at night. Itís just down the road, too, from Hooters. Itís the only Hooterís on the beach in the world, FYI. OH, itís not far from everything either. You can walk down the road in either direction and find a store, restaurant, or mini-golf. Panama City is also the home of the worldís first mini-golf course. It isnít open right now, and it looks like it shouldnít be. The giant brontosaurus on the course looks like it has seen quite a few spring breaks.
