Fun in the sun for Spring Break in Acapulco

Thursday Jan 07, 2010

Mexico is one of the hottest places you can go, especially if you are going to check out Spring Break in Cancun or Spring Break in Acapulco.

Cancun is a place where you can let loose and have the time of your life. There’s nothing better than dancing the night away in a packed club or partying on the beach all day. There are so many DJ’s and live bands that there is something for everyone. The trick to making it a week in Cancun is staying nourished. I know your thinking that a beer diet is in order but you might fizzle out after the first couple days. If you are planning a 7 night trip to Cancun, you definitely need to check out some good food joints.

Of course a lot of the bar and grilles double as restaurants by day and dance club at night—it’s going to be your basic bar food. There are also tons of American chains- McDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC, Outback, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, etc. There are of course Mexican Chains as well- Carlos ‘N Charlies, Senor Frogs and El Shrimp Bucket, etc. A couple of Cancun type “hot spots” to check out are: La Fisheria and Faro’s (Seafood), Campay or Mikado (Sushi/Thai), La Dolce Vita or Casa Rolandi (Italian), Cambalache and The Porterhouse Grill (Fine Cuts).

Now if you are heading to Spring Break Acapulco, you’re pretty much going to come across the same type of American/Mexican chains but some “hot spots” to check out here are: Casanova, Vesuvio (Italian), Jovitos, Esmirna del Mar (Seafood), La Perla, Su Casa (Mexican).
Whatever fare you decide on, you will be in Mexico and will enjoy the surroundings and will be led to the perfect place to eat!! And, you have these tips above to help you (all of which have had great reviews) or you can always ask the front desk of your hotel. Enjoy!
